I’ve been a member at Amore for over 16 years. What keeps me coming back? I can’t really pin it down to one single reason, it’s really a combination of factors that has made Amore a huge part of my life. Members are friendly and always cheer each other on and celebrate big and small wins together. Each time I enter Amore, I’m always greeted with warm smiles and the front counter staff show great customer service. They remember me by name and take time to engage in conversation. I’m so glad to have found Amore, not only do they provide a great gym space but also many different types of classes for women to attend. It is such a safe space and I get to choose when I want to attend classes according to my schedule. The instructors here are really knowledgeable and friendly. They also often give advice on how to do it right and why we do it in a certain way. After attending Amore’s classes, I always feel refreshed and pumped!

Since joining Amore Fitness, my once gloomy emotions have gone through a drastic transformation. This fitness gym tailored specifically for women, provides me with a space that gives me positive energy. Every time I step into Amore Fitness, I am immediately captivated by the bright and cosy atmosphere. The entire space is thoughtfully arranged with equipment that meet my needs for both cardio and strength training. On top of the gym, one of my favourite classes at Amore is Pilates. Joining Amore and working out regularly has helped me in many ways. Firstly, my blood pressure is now in a healthy and normal range. Secondly, I first joined Amore with 2 torn tendons in my right ankle and was not able to put pressure on that foot. Now, I am able to stand on my right leg for a little longer without wobbling. I’d also like to highlight that Barre and Barreless classes by Alma has helped to strengthen my legs and plus point they look slimmer now.

During Covid, I was struggling to find the motivation to exercise regularly. In January 2021, I decided to try something new and joined Amore, a Zumba class. From the very first session, I fell in love with the upbeat music and energetic dance moves. Over the next few months, I noticed a significant increase in my energy levels. I could tackle my busy workday with renewed vigour, and my overall mood improved. Zumba not only helped me shed a few extra pounds but also brought a smile to my face every time I hit the dance floor. Amore’s Energy Sculpt class, a combination of cardio and strength training, was challenging, but I persevered. Over time, I noticed significant changes in my body composition.I became more toned and stronger. I have a new sense of vitality and confidence since I joined Amore!

My present physical shape, form and stamina is all the result of the great workout sessions conducted by the experienced class instructors in Tampines 1. I enjoy the Energy Sculpt, Ultimate Interval, Zumba, Aero Cardio and Power pump classes. The instructors are highly energetic, cheerful and motivating. Their choice of music and choreography especially for Zumba and Aero Cardio make class so much more fun. As I attend at least 5-6 classes a week, I am thankful I have shedded 8kg in the past year. I feel so much lighter and fitter. I have also learnt to watch over my daily diet to balance up with my workouts. All in all, I am grateful to Amore Fitness for helping me to maintain my current fitness level, shape and form. It is now a breeze to wear any kind of clothing and look refreshingly good in any outfit! I do not regard my age as a barrier, I regard it as a motivation to continuously stay fit, healthy and enjoy every workout. I did not like to exercise but Amore changed that for me. I have two beautiful babies but the journey of motherhood caused me to put on almost 30kg! I was so heavy, going up the overhead bridge made me pant… I also had a bad knee and all the extra weight made it worse. I tried many options to exercise but it was difficult to get into the habit. I started my Amore journey by using the gym equipment, I love it because it was clean and the user manual for each equipment was helpful. Then one day while on the elliptical, I saw a Zumba class in progress and I was surprised! There were disco lights?! I eventually tried out Brian’s Zumba class. I am actually not good at dancing but Brian doesn’t seem bothered (which is nice) for a long time my thought was “can dance just dance, cannot dance then anyhow shake!”. Somehow I figured out a way to dance after several weeks of Zumba classes. These days I am proud to be a happy Zumba queen hitting classes 3-4 times a week, I have lost pretty much 20kg and feel very good in health!

I must say I have grown with Amore since I started at the Tiong Bahru outlet more than 20 years ago. I used to be someone who didn’t exercise much but Amore has changed me to become someone who can’t live without my daily classes. I feel a deep sense of loss if I can’t go to Amore for classes. One can only imagine the anguish I went through when the gym was closed during the Circuit Breaker period. I have made many new friends in class and being able to work out together with them certainly makes my day. I must thank friendly counter staff like Angie at Seletar Mall who has always been like a big mama to us. She takes care of us and makes the effort to know our individual needs and preferences. Here’s to many more good years ahead with Amore!

I love Amore’s zumba classes as they have well trained instructors such as Brian, Joseph and Den who use amazing songs and curate fun zumba steps to follow. The studio itself is also equipped with fancy LED lighting, air conditioning and fans. The Amore staff are always helpful and friendly, especially Angie at Seletar Mall. I equally enjoy my spa sessions with well trained therapists such as Coco who know and pay attention to my needs. Overall, Amore has provided me with a holistic experience. Although I am busy with work, I always look forward to going to Amore whenever I have the time. Cheers!

For accountability, a personal trainer makes sure that you stay on track during your sessions so that you get the most out of your time spent at the gym. Learning the correct form and techniques of resistance training to reduce the risk of injury and eventually be comfortable working out on your own.

Resistance training can be safe and beneficial for beginners when done with proper technique, appropriate intensity and under guidance of a qualified professionals like personal trainers. Progression is key as resistance training will enhance strength, bone density, functional fitness and overall body composition.
The physical activity recommendation guidelines is at 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity and resistance training activities 2 or more days a week to work all major muscle groups. The frequency per week will depend on your fitness goals and schedule.
The results vary with each individual depending on the baseline fitness, the intensity and frequency of the exercise sessions, and what the fitness goals are. Regardless, you will experience the results of exercise almost immediately!
